who let the dogs in?

So I know foo dogs have been making their appearance for awhile now, but I'm still in love with them and just now jumping on the foo dog bandwagon!  I found these yesterday at my favorite flea market for $20 in great condition, but I'm not a fan of the grey color (note to self: don't photo grey foo dogs on grey wall).  Now, I have to decide what color to paint them.

Turquoise is obviously the most popular foo dog color...

Elements of Style's Erin uses baby foo dogs in her entry way

Shelter Interior Design has a green version guarding her shelves.

I love all these bright, eye-catching foo dogs, but I'm thinking I might opt for a glossy white or black version.  I'll let you all know what I decide. 

On a side note, aren't all these rooms wonderful with or without the dogs. The last two photos are from real homes too...not styled with perfect lighting and an enormous budget, but real ladies with amazing taste!

Oh, and one more thing...I know Pier 1 did carry the turquoise foo dogs so you might want to check there if you're interested in a pair for your home.
