The Writing's On the Wall

Besides the functionality of listmaking anywhere and everywhere, chalkboards are great for quickie art!

I looooove the full-wall chalkboard but not sure I could handle the dust

Not sure how you would write on the ceiling - but it's nice to have it as an option??
I do love the fluidity (is that a word?) of the wall and the ceiling being the same with no trim.

For a look that's less of a commitment, framed chalkboards are great and don't have to look like a grade school classroom - pick one with a funky frame!

This chalkboard below has a HILARIOUS story that goes with it (pardon the language).  If you need a good laugh today, check out the post here.  This is from Erin at Elements of Style and her
Valentine's-Day-gone-horribly-wrong!

You can jazz up the breakfast table...

Or the kitchen...

Refrigerator door chalkboards - why didn't I think of that?!  duh!

Or the mantle...
(love this quote: "In Springtime Love is Carried on the Breeze")

Of course they're great in kids' rooms...

I adore this idea: "thank you God for: _______"
(would also be really cute in a kids' room)

Okay so this is outside a cafe but why not write words of self-flattery on the board??  Everyone needs a pick-me up sometimes!

And if you're going to flatter yourself - why not just do away with the bathroom mirror because you know you look great anyway?!

And while you're replacing mirrors with chalkboards -
why not replace chalkboards with mirrors?!

This lipstick-on-mirror look is incredible - love love love,
all it needs is a little red smooch in the corner!

*smooch*
